H1N1 Flu Vaccine will be available mid October.

To Our Pregnant Patients,

The flu season is fast approaching. It is anticipated to be a very busy season with both the seasonal flu and the H1N1 (Swine) flu. We will be offering both types of flu vaccine to all of our pregnant patients. Our physicians recommend all OB patients receive both flu vaccines. We anticipate having the vaccines by the middle of October. We will announce on our web site, www.thegroupforwomen.com, when they are available. We will be getting a limited quantity, so if you have the opportunity to receive the vaccines elsewhere, please do so.

Please review the attached information sheet written by the March of Dimes regarding the Swine flu. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms please call our office for anti-viral medication. We ask, for the safety of all of our patients, that you do not come to or bring sick children with you to the office, if you are experiencing flu like symptoms. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and we wish you a happy healthy pregnancy. Please feel free to discuss any medical concerns with your doctor.
